The Kalachakra Retreat will be facilitated by Erik & Ulla Sanderson of starbridge. It will run from Wednesday 23rd April to Sunday 27th April. Participants must be at the barge landing at Corinella by 3.00pm on 23rd April. Returning from Elizabeth Island to Corinella on 27th April at 4.00pm, arriving Corinella at 4.30pm. The Kalachakra has become a popular concept because of the Kalachakra initiations performed in Buddhism. It has Hindu roots and is also being described by the Theosophists: its origin stems even further back in primordial time. The name means “time wheel” and operates with three aspects of time - outer time, inner time and alternative time, or in other words, the planet Earth's motion around the sun, cosmic in nature; the biological rhythms, e.g. menstruation, sleep-awake, digestion etc.; the inner time; peak experiences, meditation, higher consciousness, the timeless state, alternative time.
The Kalachakra is a disc shaped structure of pure consciousness. It is that aspect of the Divine that wills physical manifestation. It deals with life and consciousness, bringing a life on to its next incarnation. Time seems to be different for live and inanimate substances.
The Kalachakra teachings are beginning to spread in the West. These teachings form the basis for powerful yet safe transformation of hindrances to our appreciation of what we really are: cosmic beings; bringing us to a state of awareness where we can choose a rich, authentic life in the now, making life worthwhile - and accumulating good karma.
Pricing includes retreat workshop for 5 days facilitated by Starbridge, return barge from Corinella to Elizabeth Island provided by French Island Barge Pty Ltd, all meals and snacks (vegetarian) provided by French Island Catering and Healthy Produce, (Menu (pdf)), accommodation on Elizabeth Island, linen, toiletries.

A non refundable deposit of $200 per person is payable.
There is a $100 discount for earlybird bookings, if paid in full by March 23rd 2008.
Cancellations must be received at least one week prior to retreat for refunds, less deposit.
